Are you focused to achieve desired results?

Repeat 3 times – I am focused to achieve desired results, I am focused to achieve desired results, I am focused on achieving desired results…
(I do this every morning)

Throughout each day, we aim to achieve results.

The more we have to deal with, the more our ability to focus is challenged. With distractions increasingly becoming a part of each day, even the most disciplined person can lose concentration and be side-tracked. How can we stay focused on what needs to be done to achieve the goals we set?

Here are a few simple steps that work for me:

  • Set goals. Setting goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely will help you commit to achieving your desired results. Setting goals will help you discipline yourself to see outcomes.
  • Hold yourself accountable. Sometimes when we don’t receive desired results it’s because we make excuses. We don’t “feel like it.” Not allowing excuses is the first step to accountability. Holding yourself to a higher standard will help you reach the goals you set for yourself.
  • Remove distractions. Distractions are one of the biggest reasons we lose focus. Without focused attention, discipline is impossible. Removing those things that will distract you from reaching your results will help discipline your mentality.
  • A disciplined mindset is essential. And like anything else, practice makes perfect. Don’t expect to become a disciplined mastermind within a day. Make lists, set reminders, and do whatever you need to do to keep yourself focused and accomplish the outcomes you want.

As we step into 2024, ask yourself:

Am I focused?

How will you take off in a brand new direction in 2024?

What course corrections do you need to make?
