What you see at Entrepreneurs’ Organization Global Leadership Conference is the stage. What you don’t see is what it takes to build the learning behind it.
It started in July with a simple ask from Hannah Marsh and Jess Owens. Nine months to build what would happen in April.
From there, it became a rhythm:
- Weekly working sessions.
- 15 evolving agenda iterations.
- Dozens of speaker reviews and conversations.
- A full learning narrative built, tested, and refined.
- Theme development. Story development. Brand alignment.
Alongside a world-class production team.
- 23 crew members from Encore working behind the scenes to bring it all to life.
- 17+ speaker rehearsals.
- 50+ sound checks.
- Countless deck revisions.
All designed around one goal:
Create an experience that doesn’t just inform, but transforms. Legendary.
Then you layer in the scale:
- 2,000 green seats filled with overflow in adjacent rooms.
- A sold-out GLC, the first of its kind.
- Thousands of high-fives (record breaking), conversations, and unexpected moments of connection.
- Standing room only workshops.
- Local culture woven into every part of the experience.
- Learning moments happening far beyond the stage through learn-arounds and shared dialogue.
And somehow, when it all comes together, it feels effortless (almost).
That’s the work.
Not just building a stage, but building an experience where learning actually lands. This is only possible because of the EO learning team that has no limits in the heart, passion and massive effort they put into making magic happen.
Grateful to have played a small role in shaping what happens behind the scenes and even more grateful to be part of a community that shows up ready to learn and grow. 🖤
